St. Clair Yacht Club

The SCYC was organized in 1945 to provide a gathering place where members may participate in the sport of yachting and to promote and foster interest in the knowledge of yachting, boating, navigation, and other maritime activities, and to cooperate with federal, state, and municipal officials in the protection of life and property on the inland seas and within the waters of the State of Michigan. 

You and your guests, along with fellow members share one of the nicest venues on the river. SCYC is a great choice if you're an active boaters or you simply enjoy the view, the Club activities and making new friends. Whether watching the big boats during Thunderfest or the Fourth of July Fireworks from the clubhouse, your boat or the docks, members enjoy exceptional vantage points in the secure comfort of Kean's Marina.

The St. Clair Yacht Club (SCYC) is a private club located within Kean's Marina on the Detroit River, between the Roostertail and HarborHill Marina to the East. SCYC members enjoy access to over 700 registered yacht and sailing clubs throughout America.  

The club offers activities for cruisers, power boaters, sailors and non-boaters too. Members enjoy the club’s varied recreational programs, social activities,  bar, party facilities. SCYC is a great place to have your next party.

St. Clair Yacht Club members enjoy reciprocity privileges at yacht clubs around the world.  Visitors to SCYC arriving by boat will need to contact the harbor master in advance.  Kean's accommodates visiting yachts up to 60 feet in length, providing power, water, and clubhouse facilities. Modern docks at our host marina offer 340 berths for marina members’ boats, as well as fuel, pump-out, stores and mechanical service. We hope you will visit SCYC soon.
